About El Cerrito Preschool Cooperative

ECPC has operated as a parent cooperative since 1940. We have a wonderful setting in El Cerrito with two large outside play yards and many fun indoor play areas. While a professional teaching staff runs the program, member families own the school and are responsible for administration and maintenance. This allows parents to become active in their child's education. It also serves to build a strong sense of community among the families in our school.

Teacher/Director

El Cerrito Preschool Cooperative is now taking applications for a teacher/director for our AM program. Applicants should download and read our detailed job description and list of duties and responsibilities. Applications must be received by February 12, 2012. Please include a resume (with relevant coursework and qualifications), a statement of your teaching philosophy, and references. Preschool Substitute Teacher, As Needed:

• Morning Program 8am-1pm, Afternoon Program 1-5pm
• Substitute rate is $16/hour
• Supervise and play with children in child-initiated and organized activities and assist them with conflict resolution.
• Assist teacher/director with program implementation and activities.
• Work with teachers in a balanced and caring program that allows for children's free choice and creativity.
• Must have experience working with preschool age children.
• At least 6 ECE units required, 12 ECE units preferred.
